IMPORTANT NOTICE REGARDING HEARTWORM TESTING According to the American Animal Hospital Association and the American Heartworm Association, the new recommended guideline for testing for heartworm is ANNUALLY. We will be starting to test all dogs (6 months of age and older) every year, regardless of whether you have your dog on seasonal or year-round heartworm preventative. We also recommend that all dogs be on preventative all year round. Remember: Treating heartworm disease is much more dangerous, painful and more costly than preventing the disease altogether.
